Chocolate Eclair Croissants, Chocolate Pumpkin Marble Cake, and more

Hello! 

This weekend’s menu is also not to be missed! For starters, we are making a new loaf cake combining two Bakeshop favorites: Chocolate Pumpkin Marble Cake. We make the cake by swirling our Chocolate Espresso Cake batter and our Pumpkin Spice batter in a loaf pan, resulting in a perfect rich and tender cake that serves 6-8. The flavor is fantastic, and so are the colors! 

We’re also bringing back our Chocolate Eclair Croissants, which are always quick to sell out. These are classic eclairs with a Bakeshop twist: rather than choux dough, we use a rectangular slab of our croissant dough. Then we fill with vanilla bean pastry cream, brush them with a rich chocolate glaze, and top with a dab of pastry gold leaf!

You’ll also find the return of crisp, buttery Shortbread Squares as well as flaky, nutty Pecan Wonder Buns. Plus a limited number of last week’s Secret Item, Mountain Rose and Ashmead Kernal Apple Tarts with Salted Caramel Glaze, are on the menu and can be bought individually this week. We hope you’ll revisit them! 

Finally, we were honored and excited to see Bakeshop featured this past week in Portland Monthly’s list of Must-Visit Thanksgiving Pie Shops! A friendly reminder that Thanksgiving preorders close next Thursday at 5pm. A few of our pies are already close to selling out, so be sure to get your orders in. Please place your Thanksgiving orders separately from your weekend orders. And while you’re there, you can add a bottle of red, white or sparkling wine for your holiday table from our wine page!
