Four Pies for the Fourth of July
Hello!
Summer weather certainly came in with a bang! Hope you were able to stay cool. This weekend we have four special whole pies on the menu for Fourth of July feasting:
~Marionberry Pie with Ginger Oat Streusel~
~Summer Fruit Pie with Ginger Oat Streusel~
~Raspberry Rhubarb Pie with Ginger Oat Streusel~
Only a limited quantity of each are available, so get your order in early!
We are also excited to bring back a seasonal staff and customer favorite right in time for the holiday weekend: Marionberry Scones! We take Oregon Marionberries tossed in house-made jam and nestle a scoop of them into the center of a soft, cream-based rye and buckwheat dough. The shaggy top gets brushed with cream and sprinkled lightly with sugar pre-bake.
Another seasonal menu change this weekend is that our hand pie flavor has changed from Rhubarb to Summer Fruit. The filling has peaches, rhubarb, and berries tossed in homemade strawberry jam – a true celebration of summer flavors all folded up into our old fashioned pie dough! This filling is also available in a whole pie with ginger oat streusel (link above).
As usual, we will be open for walk-up orders this Saturday and Sunday.
