Halloween Treats and Good Things to Eat

Hope you’ve been staying warm and dry in all this wild weather. Luckily it seems the rain will clear just in time for Halloween this weekend! We have been busy getting into the Halloween spirit over here at the bakery, and have a few special treats on the menu to make your celebrations extra sweet.

Our most festive item is, of course, bags of our Bakeshop Shortbread Cookies in Halloween shapes and topped with holiday sprinkles! We’ve also added bags of our crisp, melt-in-your-mouth Honeycomb Candy. Both make great Halloween gifts for kids, classmates, and neighbors.

If chocolate treats are your Halloween thing, and you missed out last week, you’ll be pleased to see a limited number of Chocolate Babka back on the menu this week. They are made with whole-grain brioche dough, rich chocolate ganache, salty pecans and mini chocolate chips. Chocolate lovers will also find Chocolate Kouign Amann, filled with discs of house-made chocolate ganache, and our classic Pain Au Chocolat, filled with custom chocolate batons made for us by Woodblock Chocolate.

And what would Halloween be without pumpkins? Bakeshop Pumpkin Pies, Pumpkin Spice Muffins and Caramelized Apple & Pumpkin Hand Pies are all available to add to your weekend pre-orders this week!
