Caramelized Apple and Pumpkin Hand Pie
Tart apples are roasted in the oven until slightly caramelized, then paired with our “pumpkin” pie filling of roasted yams, browned butter, and fall spices. This mixture is folded inside our old fashioned pie dough, which is incredibly flaky and made with 100% butter (no shortening, etc). Then it’s sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and baked dark to slightly caramelize.
